We purchased the Pharmacy in 2007 from the previous owners, Mr Patel and his wife, who had been running the Pharmacy for some 20 years under the name of Sperling. Before them, Mr and Mrs Sperling had run the business, again for some twenty years, and they, in their turn, had taken over the shop from a Mr Long. In clearing out the attic, we found several items (nothing worthy of 'Antiques Roadshow' I am afraid) in the name of A Long & Co. We don't know any history prior to Mr long. Perhaps you do?

'We' are Christine and Trevor Hadley. We own a large pharmacy in East London (look at http://www.anthonyspharmacy.co.uk/) and have been running that for some 20 years. Back in 1970-71 we rented a flat in Woodstock Road, but moved away when the urge to buy a house came upon us. However we remembered the Pharmacy from that time, and when it came up for sale we came and had a look. It struck us as being in need of some TLC to make it a Pharmacy for the future, and worthy of the good people of Bedford Park. So we (slowly) set about a re-design; and here we are.

We are very much a family business. My wife, Christine, is the Pharmacist, and you will meet, on occasion, my mother (Dee) and my daughter (Rebecca) as well as myself acting as counter assistants. But we cannot be here all the time, and you will see other faces, especially the Pharmacists. We introduce them on the home page.
